Tucker Pillsbury, more commonly known as ROLE MODEL, started his first tour, TOUREVER, in New York City on Sept. 23, 2021. The relatively new pop singer and songwriter has grown a fanbase pretty rapidly and even sold out tour dates in big cities such as Los Angeles, California. His last three shows of TOUREVER, Nov. 12-14 were at a sold out El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles.
Some of his most popular songs are “blind” and “forever&more” which are rumored to be about his girlfriend Emma Chamberlain. Chamberlain is a very popular Youtuber and influencer amongst Gen Z which has also helped Pillsbury gain popularity. Chamberlain and Pillsbury have been rumored to be dating since roughly August of 2020. In interviews, when asked if he is in love, he responds with yes.
Tucker first came into the spotlight in 2017, with the publicity of his extended play ‘Arizona in the Summer’ and made his first performance at Lollapalooza Music Festival. His older song lyrics often delve into topics of depression, self doubt, failed relationships, sadness and loneliness. However, his most recent songs, “blind” and “forever&more” have been about being in love with a girl, referring back to his girlfriend, Chamberlain.
Pillsbury released a song called “death wish” this year, switching up his sound into a quicker paced song with lyrics that don’t seem to symbolize a real life experience.
According to Crave the Sound, “Role Model’s performance was a display of true, unfiltered joy and newness. It is always exciting to see an artist on their first headlining tour, and Role Model was no exception.” At concerts Pillsbury can often be seen wearing his signature style of leather pants, a cowboy hat and you can always find him accepting gifts from fans. His security frequently has to hold him back from crowd surfing, for Pillsbury loves to be involved with his fans on a more personal level.
