Proving himself after beating Sonny Liston and becoming heavyweight champion of the world, Cassius Clay and three of his friends meet up at Malcom X’s hotel to celebrate the champion boxer’s success. After catching up, instead of leaving and partying like Sam and Jim had wanted, Malcolm X insists they all reflect and talk. This leads to inspiring conversations between the legends, focused on the work it takes to make a lifetime of change in the black community. They open up and share their deepest thoughts and troubles with their friends, with the most significant being Clay’s transition between religions. Although it can be a bit slow at times, with a majority of the film being mere conversation, this film is truly inspirational and gives a deeper insight on what actually went on in the lives of these icons.

Another key role in my enjoyment of this film is the one-room cinematography, and lighting. The crew did an excellent job immersing the viewer into the scene, making it feel as if you were there, talking with them. Despite having little action, I was thoroughly entertained throughout the entirety, and have high praises for this movie that I would recommend to everybody.
