The class of 2020 has faced a rough patch as the pandemic has upended their final months in ways small and intense causing their graduation to be postponed until late July. The exact date is set to be on July 24, and it will take place alongside the social distancing restrictions.
With the pandemic continuing, there will be multiple changes made to the ways the graduation ceremony is run and this year will be the first time in history that students won’t get the audience to cheer them on. Protection guards such as masks will be required in order for the students to remain safe and protected. There might also be other necessary restrictions made to remain safe such as having the ceremony take place for multiple places.
This will allow for a small amount of the senior class population to attend on different days to be appreciated and recognized for all their hard work throughout the past four years of their high school journey.
Adding to this, high schoolers will move forwards on developing videos to recognize the accomplishments that the senior class has made on June fourth. The school’s ultimate goal is to host a ceremony where everything can feel as normal as possible despite the pandemic that the world is in and for the “dolphins to stay strong”!
